Local 527 represents members of the Ontario Public Sector Employees Union (OPSEU) who work at 400 University Avenue, 505 University Avenue, 401 Bay Street 17th and 18th floors, 180 Dundas Street West 3rd floor, 10 Adelaide Street East, and 189 Yonge Street.

Local 527 members work in the following ministries and agencies: Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade (MCIIT), Ministry of Labour (MOL), Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS), MTCS's Ontario Heritage Trust (OHT) including OHT's Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre, MOL's Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB), Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal, Human Rights Board of Inquiry, Ministry of Transportation (MTO), Ministry of Government Services (MGS) and Ministry of the Attorney General (MAG) staff at MOL and MCIIT Legal Branches. The Local also has Broader Public Service members who work at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT) at 505 University Avenue and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) at 180 Dundas Street West.

The Local has stewards and information stewards from the ministries, agencies and organizations it represents. There is always a need for additional stewards. Interested Local 527 members should speak to another steward or a member of the local executive.
