Local 527 represents members of the Ontario Public Sector Employees Union (OPSEU) who work at 400 University Avenue, 505 University Avenue, 393 University Avenue, 123 Edward St., 10 Adelaide Street East, and 189 Yonge Street. Local 527 members work in the following ministries and agencies: Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration (MCI), Ministry of Labour (MOL), Ministry of Health Promotion (MHP), Ministry of Culture (MCL), MCL's Ontario Heritage Trust (OHT) including OHT's Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre, MOL's Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB), Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal, Human Rights Board of Inquiry, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. There are also a few Ontario Shared Services (OSS) staff and Ministry of the Attorney General (MAG) staff who are part of the Local as well. The Local has stewards from each of the ministries and agencies it represents. There is always a need for additional stewards.
